Indie theater company The Dirty Blondes presents its fifth season benefit, showcasing award-winning past work and future projects celebrating everything subversive on the stage. “There’s something about underground theater that feels very on the ground,” says Dirty Blonde Elizabeth Sarkady. “Once you get to Broadway it takes so long to produce a play. It takes years... Indie theater has its hand on the pulse of what’s going on in a way that bigger theater just can’t.”
